A 19th century marble portrait bust of young woman by Patric Park (1811-1855) mounted on its 19th century ‘Verde Antico’ Scagliola Column.

Patrick Parc was a Scottish Sculptor who specialised in portrait busts. He went to Italy as a young man and trained for two years under Bertal Thorvalsden where he developed an interest in the heroic nude. He exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy from 1836 and the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh from 1839 as well as showing a few works at the British Institution, the Society of British Artists, the West of Scotland Academy and the Royal Manchester Institution.
