A late 19th century English polished steel and cast iron firegrate. A serpentine railed basket above pierced fret with an apron flanked by hook leg supports surmounted by vase finials. Circa 1900. This particular model is illustrated in ‘The Architects Carron & Co catalogue, 1931.
